Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based course pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Discuss the updates made in the ASHP/IDSA 2020 vancomycin monitoring guideline
  2. Explain why troughs are not an ideal surrogate for cumulative vancomycin exposure
  3. Summarize the clinical data supporting vancomycin’s AUC-guided dosing
  4. List the different methods used to calculate vancomycin AUC
