Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based course pharmacists should be able to:
- Discuss the updates made in the ASHP/IDSA 2020 vancomycin monitoring guideline
- Explain why troughs are not an ideal surrogate for cumulative vancomycin exposure
- Summarize the clinical data supporting vancomycin’s AUC-guided dosing
- List the different methods used to calculate vancomycin AUC
