Description:

Prescribing Opioids for Pain with a primary focus on the updated 2022 CDC Clinical Guidelines.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based course pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of femoral access and radial access in percutaneous coronary intervention.
  2. Explain the utility of vasodilating agents and anticoagulation for trans radial access for cardiac catheterization.
  3. Describe the literature on the most common vasodilating agents and anticoagulants used in radial artery cocktails.
