Dr. Brittney Migliozzi was born in Loma Linda and grew up in San Bernardino, California. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from California Baptist University, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Loma Linda University. Dr. Migliozzi completed her ambulatory care pharmacy residency at Kingman Regional Medical Center, Arizona. After her diabetes fellowship, she wishes to pursue board certification in ambulatory care pharmacy and advanced diabetes management. She plans to work as a clinical specialist within an ambulatory care clinic managing type 1 and 2 diabetes. In her free time, Dr. Migliozzi loves to visit Disneyland. She also loves dogs, watching Netflix, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.


Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this application-based course pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Discuss the current Standards of Care guidelines and recommendations for insulin therapy

  2. Compare and contrast various insulin products available

  3. Describe pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic parameters of insulin formulations and delivery methods available

  4. Identify potential barriers and considerations when selecting insulin as either monotherapy or combination therapy

  5. Given a patient case, design an individualized, evidence-based pharmacologic therapy

  6. Complete the exam and evaluation as prompted and click Submit.
