Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based course pharmacists and pharmacy technicians should be able to:
- Describe the prominent characteristics and resources of the Adventist Health Study-2 cohort.
- Recognize the relationship between vegetarian dietary patterns and various health outcomes.
- Connect dietary patterns, biomarkers, and disease risk.
Description
This presentation will cover the latest research findings with the Adventist Health Study-2, including dietary patterns and health outcomes, and studies of metabolic and other biomarkers predictive of disease processes. Cohort characteristics including data, resources, and participants will be discussed, along with future plans and research endeavors.
