Overview of tenecteplase for stroke as off-label indication.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based course pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Discuss the feasibility of transitioning to tenecteplase as the first-line thrombolytic agent for stroke.
  2. Describe the safety and efficacy of tenecteplase versus alteplase for stroke.
  3. Review the clinical evidence for using tenecteplase for stroke.
  4. Recognize dosing, administration, and preparation of tenecteplase for stroke.
