Overview of tenecteplase for stroke as off-label indication.
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based course pharmacists should be able to:
- Discuss the feasibility of transitioning to tenecteplase as the first-line thrombolytic agent for stroke.
- Describe the safety and efficacy of tenecteplase versus alteplase for stroke.
- Review the clinical evidence for using tenecteplase for stroke.
- Recognize dosing, administration, and preparation of tenecteplase for stroke.
