A review of IDSA guidance for the treatment of infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii and supporting literature.
Upon successful completion of this application-based course pharmacists should be able to:
Describe mechanisms of resistance exhibited by Acinetobacter baumannii
Identify antimicrobial agents with potential utility in the treatment of infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii
Apply the Infectious Diseases Society of America's (IDSA) 2022 antimicrobial resistance guidance to design an appropriate regimen for the treatment of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii
To obtain 1.0 contact hour of continuing pharmacy education credit (0.1 CEU), participants must participate in the live activities, and logon to the CEimpact website to complete the exam and evaluation.
