The mission of the Office of Continuing Education (OCE) is to support the continuing professional development of our pharmacist practitioners. We aim to foster their growth at the highest level, not only as health care providers, but in particular, as faculty and adjunct faculty preceptors who train and mentor our student pharmacists in real-world clinical settings. Some of the quality resources our office provides include ACPE and CAPE accredited training, the opportunity to present accredited courses, preceptor training, access to electronic databases, funding for professional meetings, educational tools and equipment at rotation sites to improve experiential training experiences, and so on.

NOW ON-DEMAND: A BRIGHTE New Option: Fostemsavir for Drug Resistant HIV
FREE | 1 Hour | Pharmacist CE
Combination antiretroviral therapy has changed the trajectory of outcomes for people living with HIV by dramatically reducing morbidity and mortality from the virus. While first line therapeutic options are effective disease management strategies for most patients, treatment options are quite limited for those who have developed multidrug resistant HIV. This application-based continuing pharmacy education activity will provide a ‘journal club format’ discussion for pharmacists and student pharmacists to review the findings of the BRIGHTE study recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Discuss the phase 3 clinical study evaluating the performance of the novel agent fostemsavir in patients with multidrug resistant HIV.
