LLU School of Pharmacy ORGANIZATIONS
Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors work on behalf of LLUSP to support students and the school. They help with all sorts of projects, from recruitment to social media to fundraising and social events. Generally, Ambassadors are caring people who enjoy coming up with fun ideas and following through to make things happen. Applications to join the Ambassadors program are accepted in January and February of each year. Applicants must have at least a 3.5 pharmacy school GPA and provide at least two positive letters of recommendation from LLUSP faculty and/or staff.

ACCP – American College of Clinical Pharmacy
This organization serves as a professional home for clinical pharmacy practitioners, educators, and scientists. The association’s vision is to advance the clinical roles and responsibilities for pharmacists in order to optimize pharmacotherapy in both the prevention and treatment of disease.
Alpha Alpha Alpha National Honor Society
Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) Honor Society is specifically for first-generation college students and is dedicated to recognizing the academic achievements of students who are the first in their families to attend college.
AMCP - Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy
AMCP is the national professional society dedicated to the concept and practice of pharmaceutical care in managed health care environments. The mission of the organization is to promote the development and application of pharmaceutical care in order to ensure appropriate health care outcomes for all individuals. The sole purpose of AMCP is to represent the views and interest of managed care pharmacy.
APhA-ASP - American Pharmacist Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists
APhA-ASP is the national professional society of pharmacists founded in 1852. This is the first established and largest professional society of pharmacists in the United States. APhA-ASP is a leader in providing professional information and education for pharmacists and is an advocate for improved health of the American public through the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care. The student branch of this organization is the Academy of Student Pharmacists (ASP).
ASHP - American Society of Health-System Pharmacists
The American Society of Health System Pharmacists believes that the mission of pharmacists is to help people make the best use of medications. The mission is to advance and support the professional practice of pharmacists in hospitals and health systems, and to serve as a collective voice on issues related to medication use and public health. At LLUSP, this student chapter functions with the Student Chapter of the California Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (CSHP).
CPFI - Christian Pharmacist Fellowship International
CPFI is an organization that is a worldwide ministry of individuals working in all areas of pharmaceutical service and practice with the mission to provide fellowship among like-minded professionals, which challenges and promotes spiritual growth. They encourage the advancement of knowledge and ethics in the practice of pharmacy, encourage evangelism, integrating faith into practice and provides support and opportunity for service both at home and in foreign missions.
CPhA - California Pharmacists Association
The California Pharmacist Association is the professional society representing all pharmacists in California. The mission of this association is to act as the leader in advocating the role of the pharmacist as an essential provider of health care and to support pharmacists in providing optimal pharmaceutical care. CPhA is the largest state pharmacy association in the nation.
CSHP - California Society of Health-System Pharmacists
California Society of Health System Pharmacist is a professional society of pharmacists and associates who serve patients and the public by promoting wellness and the best use of medications. The mission of CSHP is to serve as an organization through which the membership pursues its common professional goals, provides leadership for the profession and support for its members, and represents members before private and public agencies and health care professional organizations.
Rho Chi Society
The Rho Chi Society is an honor society that seeks to advance pharmacy through sustained intellectual leadership. Pharmacy students in the top 20% of their class are eligible to be members in the Rho Chi Society. Rho Chi provides tutoring to other students to help them achieve their academic goals.
Phi Lambda Sigma
Phi Lambda Sigma, also known as the national Pharmacy Leadership Society, promotes the development of leadership qualities, especially among pharmacy students. Phi Lambda Sigma empowers lifelong leaders to positively influence the profession of pharmacy. PLS is an honor society and pharmacy students must apply to become a member.
