Loma Linda University is the first school or college of pharmacy in the nation to house an HRSA Hispanic Center of Excellence (HCEP). As a Center of Excellence, LLU School of Pharmacy provides educational and training opportunities for the Latinx community, increases Hispanic representation among pharmacists, and addresses minority health issues throughout San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties.

Thirteen $15,000 scholarships per year will be offered to Hispanic Pharmacy Year 1 (PY1) - Pharmacy Year 4 (PY4) students.

Pharmacy Technician Students | Estudiantes de tecnica de farmacia
Up to ten $1800 scholarships per year will be offered to Hispanic pharmacy technician students attending San Manuel Gateway College.

Fellowship | Becas de farmacia
The HCEP Fellowship is a 2-year pharmacy fellowship program designed to train and mentor a fellow through both clinical activities and academic research focused on reducing health disparities. The HCEP Fellow will rotate among several clinical practices, the main clinical practice will be with Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP).
IEHP will provide training in population health to positively impact the health care needs of regional Hispanic populations and provide the fellow with significant health disparities research. These experiences will well-position the fellow as an outstanding faculty candidate by the end of the second year of the fellowship.
La beca HCEP es un programa de becas de farmacia de 2 años diseñado para capacitar y asesorar a un becario a través de actividades clínicas e investigación académica centrada en reducir las disparidades de salud. El HCEP becario rotará entre varias prácticas clínicas, la práctica clínica principal será con Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP).
IEHP brindará capacitación en salud de la población para impactar positivamente las necesidades de atención médica de las poblaciones hispanas regionales y proporcionar al becario una investigación significativa sobre las disparidades de salud. Estas experiencias posicionarán bien al becario como un candidato destacado de la facultad al final del segundo año de la beca.
