What did you do this summer?
Beven Delos Reyes, PY2 student at LLUSP, jumped at the opportunity to share God's love in Naga City, Philippines, where he and a team from Loma Linda delivered whole-person care to underserved communities. He had the blessing of being stationed in both the children's and pharmacy stations, where he counseled patients in Tagalog on proper medication use and distributed toys, crafts, stuffed animals, and smiles to the young patients! However, this mission trip was not complete without some cultural immersion by exploring caves near the Mayon Volcano, swimming in natural hot springs, and sampling the local cuisines like sili (chili) ice cream.
Beven says, "The experiences I had in the Philippines were a testament to the lasting impacts of faith and service."
