Congratulations to Ms. Norma Maynez, Senior Coordinator in Academic Affairs, who received Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy's Global Service Award in recognition of her long-standing commitment “to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ” around the world.
Ms. Maynez joined LLUSP in March 2020 as the Executive Assistant to the Dean. In that role, she was instrumental in helping run the COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Drayson Center at the peak of the pandemic, assisting with logistics, scheduling, and community outreach.
In 2023, Ms. Maynez transitioned into the Academic Affairs Department in the School of Pharmacy. Beyond her core responsibilities, she has gone above and beyond by mentoring students on multiple mission trips, playing a pivotal role in shaping their experiences and global outlook. Her dedication in this area has been nothing short of exceptional and deeply inspiring as she exemplifies a positive attitude, humility, and an unwavering commitment to our university’s global mission and service.
