very summer, Loma Linda University (LLU) students have opportunities to join mission trips to locations all over the world! This summer, Beth Nyakundi (LLUSP Class of 2023; third from left in first photo) traveled to the Kendu Adventist Hospital in Kendu Bay with a rather large group of healthcare professionals and students from Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) and the University. Dr. Nyakundi says, "It was such a pleasure to run into the Loma Linda Pharmacy team and the SIMS group out there! I had the opportunity to help out during the camp and was truly inspired by the heart and dedication of everyone involved." See more photos on Instagram.
We are very excited for Dr. Nyakundi, who recently completed a two-year fellowship in hospital administration with LLUH. Additionally, because Dr. Nyakundi is a member of Adventist Health International (AHI) at LLUH, she was invited to participate in the mission trip to Kenya and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Adventist hospital there.
