IDWeek 2024, a premier annual conference that brings together professionals from the infectious diseases community, provided a platform for professionals to share the latest scientific research, discuss pressing issues in infectious diseases, and network with peers. See more photos on Instagram.

During the event at the LA Convention Center, LLUSP associate professor Dr. Ali FakhriRavari presented his poster titled, “Evaluation of Clinical Efficacy of Systemic Antibiotics for Treatment of Acute Pyelonephritis in Adults: A Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.” This research was coauthored by our alumni from the class of 2024, Dr. Rita Hanna Al-Kass and Dr. Shant Krikorian, as well as our current P4 students, Da Young Sohn and Jae Young Sohn.

PGY-1 resident Dr. Timothy Afable gave an oral presentation on his research, "Utilization of the Four Themes of the CDC/ATSDR SVI Interactive Map in Assessing Initial Clostridioides Difficile Infection Outcomes."
