Dr. Paul Gavaza

We are delighted to share that Dr. Paul Gavaza, Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, has been appointed to the Council of Great Heights University (GHU) for a term running from 2025 to 2030.

Dr. Gavaza has been involved with GHU from its formative stages, serving on the Interim University Council as well as on the Academic Development and Innovation Sub-Committee of the Foundation Committee. His official appointment to the University Council reflects recognition of his leadership, academic expertise, and longstanding commitment to advancing education and research.

Great Heights University, a private Seventh-day Adventist institution under the Zimbabwe East Union Conference, is envisioned as a premier, faith-based university in Zimbabwe. Guided by the philosophy of holistic Christian education, its mission is to provide high-quality, accessible, and innovative degree programs; foster a vibrant research and innovation culture; and contribute to national and global development.

As a Council member, Dr. Gavaza will help guide the governance, strategic vision, and sustainability of the University, ensuring alignment with its mission to prepare ethical leaders, innovative thinkers, and compassionate professionals.
