The winner of LLUSP's Faculty of the Year award is Dr. Jessa M. Koch, Associate Clinical Professor in the specialty of psychiatry and neurology.
Since joining the School of Pharmacy faculty in 2019, Dr. Koch has made exceptional contributions in teaching, research, leadership, practice, and service—all while consistently exemplifying the values of Loma Linda University. She is an outstanding educator whose engaging lectures, integration of guest speakers, and collaboration with basic science faculty creates a dynamic and enriching learning experience for students. Dr. Koch’s professionalism, dedication, and commitment to student success are evident in her interactions with faculty, staff, and students, making her a highly respected member of our community.
Beyond the classroom, she has demonstrated remarkable leadership. Over the past year, Dr. Koch has served as Chair of the Search Committee for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and is currently leading the Curriculum Committee with exceptional efficiency. Her leadership has been instrumental in successfully advancing the development of our new curriculum, reflecting her unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in education.
