Congratulations to Dr. Justin Kinney for his recent certification in Lifestyle Medicine from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. He earned the title "Diplomat for ACLM" by completing 30 hours of online CE modules in addition to 20 hours of live CE credit before sitting for a nationally administered board exam.
As a diplomat for ACLM, Dr. Kinney is certified to educate students and patients about lifestyle behaviors and modifications that will treat, reverse, and prevent chronic diseases.
Additionally, Dr. Kinney's Gastrointestinal Diseases course earned "partial academic pathway" designation by ACLM, thereby waiving half of the requirements for Lifestyle Medicine certification for all LLUSP students. This is an incredible distinction for LLUSP, as only four pharmacy schools in the nation have earned this recognition.
Providing education and the opportunity for certification in lifestyle medicine is in line with Loma Linda University's motto, "To make man whole," and its promotion of a vegetarian diet and healthy lifestyle.
