Dr. Kyle Sousa, School Dean, and Ms. Jen Mathew, Director of Alumni Engagement, drove to Woodland Hills to visit Dr. Christian who currently serves as the Director of Pharmacy Care Delivery, Acute Care Pharmacy at the Kaiser Permanente medical center there. The facility is licensed for ~250 beds and is the furthest west hospital in the Kaiser Permanente (KP) southern California (SCAL) network. Woodland Hills Medical Center inpatient pharmacy employs 45 staff comprised of supervisors, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. Dr. Christian is responsible for overseeing the 45 staff members, ensuring smooth operations, and making sure the pharmacy adheres to regulatory requirements. Woodland Hills Medical Center is one of two KP SCAL facilities that prides itself in being recognized with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Antimicrobial Stewardship Program Gold Honor Roll.
