Our very own Dr. Olivia Francis-Boyle, Assistant Professor, served as a speaker during Loma Linda University School of Medicine's "Cancer RIP" (Research in Progress) seminar series.
Dr. Francis-Boyle presented her research on "Duocarmycin SA as a Potential Therapy for the Treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia." About her research, she says, "This groundbreaking study marks the first comprehensive evaluation of duocarmycin SA (DSA), an antitumor antibiotic, on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells in vitro. These results suggest that DSA is efficacious in AML cells and highlight DSA's potential as a promising therapeutic candidate that warrants further investigation."
